Balance Philosophy

Nerf around three moves per character that are too oppressive inside an already strong kit. Not every suggestion needs to be implemented.

Proposed Changes

Each entry lists the move or ability affected, the adjustment itself, and — where the analysis states one — the problem it is meant to solve and the reasoning behind it.

1. Down tilt

   Nerf

   Proposed adjustment

   End lag increased to 16 frames.

   Current issue

   It starts her combos and is not risky to use.

2. Float

   Nerf

   Proposed adjustment

   Float duration before touching the ground is reduced to 2.5 seconds.

   Current issue

   Four seconds of floating lets her stall matches and wait offstage without tracking opponents.

3. Down special (Turnip)

   Nerf

   Proposed adjustment

   Recatching the turnip carries 5 frames of lag, even when landing.

   Current issue

   Her strong turnip combos involve recatching it multiple times.
